The first thing you notice will be the elegant, metal finishing and tasteful etching of Joybook A53. Inside, the elegant and brushed-metal effect is to implement the aluminium palm rest. The screen bezel uses sophisticated RHCM (Rapid Heat Cycle Molding) process to achieve a lustrous finish that combines perfectly with the high gloss LCD screen. The orange brilliance of the power button adds a warm touch to a holistic beautifully designed.

BenQ revealed that Joybook A53 had surpassed 50 kg pressure testing. Almost double of the normal pressure testing for notebook, 30 kg.

It is one of those few laptops in the 15.4" form factor function to an integrated numeric keypad. A53 is in the entertainment section with a good set of functions. Screen benefits from BenQ's exclusive UltraVivid technology increases the brightness of the screen and sharpening. It has 8 ms response time and 200 nit brightness rating. A built-in webcam with a built-in microphone with noise suppression and echo cancellation functions is also available.

Joybook A53 has 15.4” WXGA monitor, powered by Intel's Core 2 Duo processor T7250, up to 2GB DDR2 RAM, and SiS M672 chipset and SiS Mirage 3+ graphics. Maximum storage can be updated to 200GB (5400RPM-SATA).
