Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
I love this song because they relate to him completely. I have a vision of the world is very similar to John and although some people say I am crazy to believe that ( "I am a dreamer ..."), but on the basis of the popularity of this song definitely I am not the only one. Rather than simply agree with the message of the song, however, people have to begin to implement the message of this song.
Things like religion, country, and money were the reasons for war and fighting, and if there was none of this then there was no war. And religion believe that John is saying that organized religion is the problem and not just believe in God, because I do not see how that would adversely affect world peace. I think he is talking about how they have so much fighting in places because of religion, but the religions are very similar, like all religions are.
